Does my policy cover me for out-of-country travel insurance?

The extended health care under the NLTA does not include Out Of Country Travel Insurance.  However, we encourage you to seek further information regarding Voluntary Out of Country Travel Insurance – MEDOC and we strongly recommend not to Travel outside the Country without adequate Travel Insurance.  For more information, please visit our travel page: https://www.johnson.ca/travel/medoc/splash-en.jspx

Can I increase my Basic Life Insurance coverage through the Group Insurance Program?

Members can apply for very competitive Voluntary Term Life Insurance and Voluntary Spousal Term Life Insurance. For further information regarding rates and how to apply please call 1-800-563-1528.

Can I opt-out of my benefits?  Will I be eligible to obtain the benefits again if I opt-out?

You can opt-out of your benefits, if you wish. As an NLTA Member you are eligible to opt back into the Group Insurance Benefits, however, you will be subject to medical evidence (Life/Health/LTD/CI) and/or late applicant guidelines (Dental) when re-applying. How do I submit a claim online?

Please log into the Johnson Members only site at https://www.johnson-insurance.com/Members-Only/ and select Claim Form.  Please open the online tutorial “How to submit a claim online.” If you do not have a user name and password, please contact Johnsons.

I am currently receiving my claim refund by cheque. How do I get set up for direct deposit?

Please provide a copy of a void cheque with your next claims submission.  Your account will then be set up for direct deposit.  If we have your current email address on file your communication will be sent to your email when your claim is processed.  Monies will be deposited into your account within 2 business days.
